Porcelain Veneers: Stephanie
Description
This distant college student came to us with a chief complaint of poor bonding on two of her front teeth and she strongly disliked her smile. Her underlying problem was she was congenitally missing her two smaller or lateral incisors, and at a younger age her orthodontist moved her canine teeth into the lateral incisor positions. Her canines were very large teeth both in length and width, and the results of several attempts to bond them failed to fit in with the smaller adjacent teeth. In addition her back teeth had not fully erupted through the gums (delayed passive eruption) and their short length were also detracting from her smile. She and her mother were thrilled with the results! (The "after" photos were taken the day of cementation and show some gum irritation from her temporaries and cement removal; with her classes and distance we have not been able to get her back for post operative photos showing healed healthy looking gums). Procedures; Smile design, gum lift, Zoom and home whitening, six porcelain veneers, protective bite guard.
